Morning all! Hot and muggy here this morning, im hoping that the promised rain will come. I've done loads of garden work this week though I've had some help from a man with a chainsaw and a hedge trimmer but I'm covered in bites....bloody horseflys
Morning all. Have just got back from town. Ended up going in later as Will had his assembly. Did very well again saying his line and smiling at everyone.
Had a few light showers which I don't think will help the garden much. Going to do the ironing now.
Have a good day everyone
Steak & ale pie was well worth the journey yesterday Currently deciding what to do today over a "frotffy coffee" Deffo need to find some courgette & squash plants, so I guess a nursery visit is on the cards, oh dear that will be a trial
Oh what a busy day sitting on my bum nursing my ill laptop or reading my book waiting for my ill laptop to decide if today is the day for a complete meltdown.
I am supposed to be ripping up turf in our veggie patch project while OH is at his volunteer gardening gig but I am in the mood for - 'why bark yourself when you have a dog'. I will get OH to woof at the turf later.
Watered my 2 truss ish tom project and actually have more flowers than I expected.
Have a good afternoon my fellow Viners.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

George Formby I've just said that and it's gone really dark! No Glastonbury for me, but my alter ego goes. SIL is back from Germany, but their house is still a building site, one GG in Greece, one is off to Alton Towers tomorrow and one has a Full English Birthday Breakfast ordered here tomorrow. Chester is still lodging with us. He's only a small Springer, but the carpets are suffering and the hoover (as well as its pusher) is shattered. Happy, full days as well as evenings for me. I'm hoping to get some gardening done tomorrow. Now there's a racing certainty for rain
What's everyone up to this weekend?
I need to get some flowers planted out in pots and get some apricot jam made as I bought 5kg for about £1.50 per kilo....is that good?
Breakfast is ready...take yr pick!
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
It's times like this I'm glad Mrs H persuaded me to get air conditioning installed in the study and the master bedroom...
Anyways, bacon for breakfast then I need to get to the lottie while the shop is open (11-12): I need some more canes for chrysanths and for netting the sweet corn.

Morning all!
I've just had breakfast thanks Nicos - I gave the sardines a miss and just had some melon. It didn't go well with coffee but I enjoyed it regardless.
I'm off out later with a friend to the garden centre to buy in some shrubs. Then I need to at least plant in a few of them.
I've a load of garden rubbish that I need to get rid of. tons of ivy, loads of lilac cuttings and more weeds and ground elder cuttings. What do I do with it all? I'm tempted to start a bonfire tonight.
