  • Morning all, haven't ventured out yet, but I need the lights on at 8.30 am, so that says it all.
Back to work at Age UK, today and tomorrow.
My GG should be visiting this afternoon, made a huge shepherds pie for dinner.
    Have a lovely day everyone

      • And its a very Good Morning from Puppyland
Its was very wet and windy last night but today, back to sunshine and blue sky. Feels like a day in the garden coming on - in between puppy playing
Happy Friday and for Flo, bet you wish every working week was like this one

          • G'Moooooooooooooooooooooornin' Peeps! We had wet n wild n windy last night - awful weather. Now we have sun and calm. unfortunately the peace is being ruined by barking dogs. My barking dogs, and they don't seem to want to shut up. There's nothing/no one there, I'm sure they're just barking at each other.

            Coffee?

              • Morning all. It's bright and breezy here today, ideal for taking down the seasonal decorations and having a good clear-up. We should be able to open a few windows too, get some fresh air into the house. Time to get going...

                  • Afternoon all, I'm keeping my Xmas decks up for a couple more days yet! I love them up! I may venture out into the garden for a little winter clear up. I may even manage to stick those bulbs in that I found sprouted in the net outside

                      • Afternoon all, I'm with Scarlet, decorations don't come down until 5th. Been really high winds and tremendous showers here today, almost going dark just before it rains, then the sun comes out. Going nowhere today!
Still having probs getting this dog to take his meds. Think it was a fluke the first couple of times wrapped in ham, now he eats the ham and spits out the pill. No wonder though they are like bullets...huge things and we have to persuade him to take two at the same time...don't think that's going to happen so it's back to the drawing board!

Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are doing and whatever the weather.

                        • Afternoon. Sunny but very windy.
Jay - try half slices where the pill is put in the middle, wrap one side ove the other so the pill ends up in the point of the triangle and give this to Harry point first - that way he has to swallow the pointy bit with the pill in before he can eat the base of the triangle. Other than that break pill in half and Harry gets 2 bits of ham/spam.

                          • Jay, what about cheese? I use to mould cheese around the tablets. Soften it in your fingers and squidge it round the tablet.

                            • Thanks everyone, they are not actually pills, they are capsules and huge! Also when you break them up they smell so awful he just won't entertain it. Will try the triangle thing though Lumpy and let you know how it goes!

                              • Cheap paté works with mine, the sort that isn't smooth so that they don't notice the crunchy bit in the middle
If I use ham, I do it with two pieces, my dogs are so greedy that they wolf the first bit down (with the tablet) so that they can have the next piece (without tablet) almost without taking a breath.
