  • I love owls too! We have little owls nesting in our garden every year. I get to see the babies lined up on the edge of the boys trampoline

Really frosty here this morning. Trying to house train the dog, I've been out in the garden a million times. The minute we get in he'll wee on the paper by the door. Think I need to read up on this, it's been a long time since we've had a puppy in the house

    • Try putting the paper just outside the door Scarlet

I'm having the lamb chops - veggies have to stick with cake, I guess. I'll have my piece for pudding.

                    • Right - can't carry on idling round here, I have chores!

                      See this big larder cupboard?

I will be emptying out, cleaning and filling it back up again. And the reason that I am doing this Spring cleaning type of housework? Because when I took the tinsel off the top of the wall units on Monday, I realised just how disgustingly revolting they are, and now I can't turn a blind eye to the filth.

                      • I had a good buy today. Got a homemade meat pie for £2.00 and it was full of meat no rubbish in it just meat. So had half of that with OH along with some new potatoes, carrots and broccoli. All very tasty

                          • Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps! We're having the second half of last night's Chicken and Ham Pie. Made by Mr. G's own fair hands. No colours, thickeners, flavour enhancers or preservatives. Tasted fab last night!

Hazel - that's the very reason I don't put up too many decorations!

Got frowned at by aforementioned Hubby earlier; My Landy's rear-most exhaust bracket broke about a month before Christmad so he 'repaired' it temporarily with cable-ties, saying he'd mend it when he had time. Despite doing loads of jobs on it over the last two weeks, he still hadn't done this one. Today, I replaced the broken cable-ties with bright orange Bale String! Bet it lasts longer than the cable-ties. The last time I used bale string for that job it lasted two or three years. I bet he'll fix it now out of embarrassment!

Right, I'm off to soak my lardy arris in the tub.
