You're wrong, Jay; Hazel is a domestic goddess. I bet you could eat a meal off her kitchen floor You can off mine too ......... all the crumbs and bits of food that somehow miss the plate Fortunately, I have doghoovers

Can't stand a load of clutter on kitchen worktops.

I doesn't look like that when I'm cooking - it's great to have the luxury of moving along a bit to the next bit of clean worktop when the current bit is messed up, but it means a grand tidy and clean up at the end of the session.

Talking of which, I thought to bake a Swiss Roll and have another go with the stencil that my big sis gave me for my birthday - she's stopping at mum's this weekend so it would be nice to give her a piece when she calls in tomorrow.

            Evening all...
Well I survived... Great night last night, and managed to make it thru a day of shopping with the kids... They had a great day too..
Back home now, and looking forward to some relaxing time with a glass of red...

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

I hope that this is really not the case, Jay, as I will not be purchasing a tree until next weekend. We don't do putting up the decs until the weekend before Christmas in our family.

Mind you, I have 'tested' the lights by putting them up in the kitchen; and then got a bit over excited having plastered all the windows with snowflake cling thingies. You get 18 in a pack at £land, and I splashed out on two packs - the mirror over the mantlepiece is now snow-flaked as well as all the downstairs windows.

Had to take myself in hand when I was contemplating investing another £ for a pack to do upstairs. Like the attic room cares about the festivities, or something.

Sorry - where are my manners - evening all!

Been to Cheap Pub tonight, and am waiting for the kettle to boil for a cup of tea nightcap.

Might have a slice of choc swiss roll that I made earlier - made it in the wrong tin (too big), the consequence being that the sponge mixture was spread so thin it virtually disintegrated when I went to roll it up, and it it looooooooong and thiiiiin. The buttercream filling glues it all together. Not y finest baking hour, by any stretch.

                        Prob. taste nice though.

                            Nos da, Nicos.

Saturday is bed change day so I'm looking forward to a new bed too when I've made the tea.

Not much nicer than a new bed; or a hot bath.

                              Morning all!
Really cold and frosty this morning, the kind of frost that makes the branches white as well Brr!
Have woken up with an ankle that thinks it's frozen solid as well - what's that all about ??

On 2nd cuppa and porridge in the microwave, that should warm me up

Its a balmy 6.8 here or is that barmy? A bit of overnight rain.
All is well in Puppyland - I think their eyes are opening 'cos some are winking at me
Hope your foot thaws out soon Thelma. Standing in a bowl of porridge should do the trick!
