  • Morning, it's really cold this morning. Ground is covered in snow and it is foggy out there. I am full of a head cold, so going to stay in and keep warm.

I'll have a coffee Lumpy if your still offering

      • Lovely and sunny here - was at the allotment at 0930 but ground is rock solid - off to daughters now to assist son in law with a small electrical problem - the question of why a neutral coloured wire is used as a live return from a light switch when wiring a lighting circuit is causing him some confusion

          • Sunny here, too. Nice to have a calm morning without that wind.

I used to be very confused by light switch wiring. Actually I still am on those landing ones where 2 switches work the same bulb...

            • I'm still confused - but just get my Reader's Digest wiring diagrams out and leave it at that

              • Afternoon All. Bright and freezing here, youngest son is cleaning my windows while grandson is playing on his laptop - it's great that he's not hogging my PC! Daughter has just texted that she's in Castleton and it's lovely.

                  • Yum - I stopped at C***a for a takeaway coffee on my way back from dog training! My reward to me

Dogs were really good - Petal flunked the walking on a lead test because she was too timid to come out from behind the chair - but she managed the 'watch' 'sit' and 'down'. So I have to practice her walkies without Rosie around to try and build up her confidence.

Rosie had her first intermediate class and did some brilliant sits and downs - and then they asked us to walk round cones off lead!!! I have never dared take her off lead in class before. Lo and behold she did brilliantly with a handful of treats. Much encouraged now!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Flo I was unsure when I replaced my 8 year old Motorola with an iphone, but it didn't take me long to get used to it.

Flo, it won't take you long if you've already got a mobile phone.

I'll have a look - there are a number of sites - I frequent 'Red Hot Pawn' which has a number of Teams including one for Scotland of which I am a member.
