Good morning, cold here to. Landlord is coming tomorrow to inspect our house, so I will be giving it a good clean(even tho I always give it a good clean when I clean it) So I need to move off my backside and start, but it's to cold to move lol. I think a hot coffee will help.Carrie

Morning all! Grey 'n' cold here too. Birds are fed, and from this side of the cat flap Domino cat is telling them off with a pathetic vibrato m-e-e-e-e-w-w-w-w.
A day behind the desk for me, except for some chores. Just trying to sort out the logistics - dr's appt late afternoon that I can either drive or run to, OR go to the gym at lunchtime BUT my screen has blown up so I've nicked my colleagues, and she's in tomorrow so I need to find a new one - a possibility is one from gumtree (put in a query about it with no reply yet) or the re-cycling shop by the tip.
BTW, I'm having a dither about the dr's - I made the appt because a couple of weeks ago, I idly scratched by arm and a freckle bled. I consulted Dr Google and self diagnosed my own death within the month from 10 types of undetectable and fatal diseases , then phoned up the doctors. Of course, with the appt now here, 10 days later, the freckle now looks like it always did (i.e. virtually undetectable unless the light's good) and I feel like I'm wasting everyone's time - but superstition says that if I DO cancel, I'll end up regretting it, so I hope he's got good eyesight and a good light to see by.
Bit of a novelty to see my dr though - it's been a number of years since I saw him, and had I not had routine nurses appts for girls' things, I'd not know how to find the surgery.
Right - stuff to do...

Interesting day today - did battle with TV provider and lost, went to the bank and was told their computers were down so no help there, Mr Lump is trying to decide whether to leave or not - he will let me know 'in due course', found a shop that sells marmite crisps (whoop whoop) and didn't have to cook for tea - result.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

That was indeed a mixed day, Lumpy! Not sure if the marmite crisps were a win either - I like marmite, but I'm done after half a packet of their crisps. And you didn't mean that marmite crisps were tea did you??
I didn't really recognise my gp at the surgery - good job they tell you what room to go to when they call you or I could have been sitting in front of anyone. He pronounced my freckle a freckle . We discussed the Great Midlands Fun Run (entries opened at the weekend) - he wants to come in under an hour this year (which would put him in the top 100 of 7,000 entrants) , which is a bit keen. Nice to see a dr practising what the medical profession teaches in terms of keeping fit and healthy, though.
I'm off to little Morries for the paper - putting it off as it's cold out there. Serves me right if they have sold out!

Eeevening all - home late after evening classes - cake decorating! Today I was doing buttercream and trying out my flower paste roses and lilies. I had to come up with an idea for a big finale cake to decorate in a few weeks' time so I decided I would do one with Springer spaniels and bouncy tennis balls and paw prints all over it. I wonder why?Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
