  • Evenin' all. I'm starting to feel better so after a walk to the shops decided to bake. My kitchen was a bit like a science lab but I must say, I am pleased with the results.

Coconut coffee cake anyone? It's dairy free (It is also hanging on the wall in this pic!)

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

        • Do you not like walnuts Bren?

The frosting is made with coconut butter. I also used it in the sponge instead of marg.

They're my favourite so that's why I'd eat them first

Don't s'pose Dom is going to change his habits either.

Oh - catbed update! I think that I am winning. Although Dom still chooses the box on occasion, more often he's in the bed. I'll think about taking the box away in the next few days, I think.

                      As we speak...

                      • Petal curled up beside me- she was spayed yesterday at 7 months poor baby - but the vet advised she is not robust enough to carry an accidental pregnancy. Our favourite park is full of un-neutered male dogs. So it was a no-brainer really, but I still feel bad. She also has a referral the week after next to a specialist opthalmologist as her eyes are still very spaced out - neighbour suggested I called her Marty Feldman! Lord my pets are expensive
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                        • Aw - poor Petal poppet, Jeanie.

I know that there are pros and cons with getting dogs (or cats for that matter) neutered at such a young age, if there is a risk of her being 'jumped' by the local young bucks, I can see why you've had her 'done'!

Domino cat's mum was six months old when she had her litter - a kitten herself - and on her first outing out the cat flap and was promptly set about by the local tom - result, four kittens. Pet charities are overwhelmed with sorry little scraps of accidental fluffy kits and pups, so on balance, I think you've done the right thing by her.

                            Nos da, peeps!

                              • Morning its breakfast time and I'll make my own tea Carrie I think yours will be cold and stewed by now, the coffee still might be warm though.

Domino cat looks snug in his bed Hazel , so it might be time to remove the the label
