  • Morning All

At the moment the sun is shining but the forecast is for rain around midday. Have home duties today which will no doubt involve a trip to the shops......oh deep joy! I shouldn't really complain though as the OH never complains when I go off to the plot. I could always suggest a coffee at the garden centre but suspect she will cotton on to my real motive.

Have an enjoyable and productive all

        • Morning all - rather grey and overcast here. It may rain later but hopefully I can still get into the potting-shed (top end of garage ) and plant some stuff in modules. FiL coming for supper tonight so I have to cook a 'proper dinner'! Have a good day all.

          • Sitting here enjoying the calm before the storm!
OH is going through his mid life crisis (probably a continuous one since 1979) and has bought himself a motorcycle. Not just any motorcycle though a piggin great 750cc custom chop that needs some work to finish it but will be his pride and joy.
Give him his due he has (on and off) over the years always had a bike and does know what to do to fix this and that but a chop? So it is being delivered by a very nice man with a van at lunchtime.
Oh and he is calling the love of his life Tilly

............and wear a coat with big pockets so you can hide away all your purchases - though a new fruit tree may be a bit obvious!

                • Morning all, and what a lovely morning it is too. Well it is here, anyway.

In a couple of hours I'm taking Mrs H down to the allotment to show her all my hard work - she hasn't been down there since last summer, so she hasn't seen how bad it was before I did it! Still it's looking tidy now.

                    • Morning all! Dull here, but no rain as yet. I'm going to the Hill in a mo - trying to find a commitee member who has access to the storeshed so I can buy some BFB.

Still loads cheaper buying it loose from the shop than 'bargains' at A1di etc. The other advantage is that I can buy it in 4 x 750g portions; each one enough for two beds, which makes it easier for me to dole it out evenly. I want to plant the shallot sets too - although I ache like mad after yesterdays long run, so won't be doing anything overly strenuous!

                      Have a good day, all!

                        • Just got back from allotment. Done a good bit of digging but it has started to rain a bit, Thought s*d it I'm turning into a fair weather gardener.
But as I step into the house the phone rings and its my mom. Han has exploded out in chicken pox spots. seem to be appearing all over her a lot worse than Will. Spoke to Han to see if she wanted me to pick them up early. She said she was fine as she had got Granddad getting drinks and nibbles for her. So looks as if she will be off next week Just hope she forgets that her class has a trip to Birmingham Sea Life centre on Thursday. She will be gutted if she realises.
Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Can I have her place on the trip? I'm sure that our school outings were never to anywhere fun like that!

I must agree their trips are much better than any of ours ever were already been to Warwick Castle. She loves nature and animals and was so looking forward to seeing all the fish. They are meant to be having a special guided tour with one of the guides there and doing a question and answer with them.

                              • Good morning, dull here. Was raining earlier on. I can't remember going on school outings like that when I was younger. But I do remember going to the Jewish museum.
