Don't panic I am not that mean. That one just supports some chrissy lights. This is the must have real tree that I am allergic/sensitive too smothered in 30 odd years off accumulated decs and fairy to match

I haven't done my wreaths yet tho

        The conversation went something like..................

Potty "I am sorry you can't do that with a gas appliance.

        Lady "Yes I can!"

Potty "Well in that case I will have to issue a warning notice and isolate the fire."

        Lady "NO you won't!"

Potty "But what if someone lights the fire?"

        Lady "They won't!"

Potty "You can't be sure of that."

Lady "Yes I can.......................... there is only the two of us live here, .................I won't light it and neither will you Numbn**s"

Ahhhh, the trees of my youth. Me dad never got a tree until Christmas eve and then he'd always pick the ropiest thing going and then chop the bottom off so it fitted into a 2" hole in a concrete filled quality street tin. Last of the big spenders was me dad...
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Christmas Eve they give them away in the DIY barns - if there are any left. Who wants to buy one on Boxing day - except for firewood.
An Austrian lady told me how they would cut up their old trees to make coat hooks - a bit of trunk with a chopped off upward facing branch = a coat hook.
There's a use for yours NG

I did think about using video tape instead of tinsel to decorate

I wouldn't want to hang anything of the oozy sap though.

I must admit though NG's tree doesn't look like its blessed with an abundance of sap.

Ok - finally got my tree up in the living room. Just need to top it off with the fairy if I can find it and a sweep up and then I can start on my next tree in the dining room

I've gone for my artificial tree again this year, it looks a bit better than it smells (been in a musty attic). I do miss a real tree...maybe next year.
