SWMBO arriving upstairs in my office to give me an ear bashing about my rickety old office chair. "Sounds like a tank down stairs!!!" "Go to E Bay now!!"

I do "See that leather executive chair, buy it now I will pay!!" she says, now what else can I find that will make a noise.

My new electric propogator was delivered! I wanted one that I can put on the greenhouse workbench and opted for one of these: Garland Four Top Electric Heated Thermostatic Seed Propagator 4 Individual Units | eBay. It will take 2 standard seed trays as an alternative to the four little ones that it comes with, so it's pretty flexible. It'll get the tomatoes and peppers off to a good start in a few weeks time, I'll also try some chrysanthemum cuttings in there.

        Ooh the possibilities!

Didn't realise I was so addicted to the vine.... But it's fab to be able to post without seeing that wheel of death.

This is not a chatting thread I know ...but can you do a little thread on starting chrysanthemum in the flower thread. Where do you buy your slips from, and so on. I want a little challenge.

                OK so.....
Mr Lump does volunteer gardening for some landed aristocrats who have a small stately home near us.
I was speaking to the head gardener today about veggie this and veggie that and told him that we have teeny weeny raised beds and an enormous array of planters, buckets, tyres etc.
So he says 'Oh if you want an allotment you can have this'

'This' turns out to be 4 20x10 beds, 4 10x10 beds 2 6x3 beds - a polytunnel (needs cleaning but has an under soil irrigation system in place) about 20x14,
a fruit cage (needs some TLC) 14x12 - slabbed all around the beds that need some quite light weeding. A water tap with a 100ft hose on it, 6 old fashioned tall pottery bell jars (rhubarb thingies), rolls of black plastic, clear plastic cloches.
Its messy and needs quite a bit of work to clear the paths, deal with the weeds, get the beds ready and do some repairs but.....
We can use it for free as long as we give the Hall a third.

                So where do we start?

                    ^^^^^^^^^^^^Nice one.

My happy, mobile phone broke, checked contract, it ran out last week Phew.

Off to Tesco saw a very nice young lady explain my problem and that I would like a phone similar to the one I have got. Comes up with a Galaxy Young 2, that will do says I, but I don't want to pay more than my £12-50 and I want to retain my 500 minutes, unlimited texts and my data allocation. "Let me check" says the young lady, "will £10 a month be alright sir" You bet it will, "Sorry sir I made a mistake, because your a loyal customer it's down to £9-50, is that OK".

That sorted she then says "give me a few minutes sir" I stand swivelling my thumbs for 5 minutes, Back she trots "There you are sir already to go" All my numbers transferred, all my touch dialling set up, e-mail up and running everything. I have to say it was great service.

Bit of a strange one. I was at a pakora making class tonight and afterwards there was a meal and I'm sitting opposite a man who looks and sounds like a fireman. Yup he worked with Mr Frosty. Was a really good class, bit weird after but good

I do believe that we are possibly going camping in Norfolk this year.
A bit of mind trick to convince him really. Found a camp site which he said was ok but decided he could find a better one which he did Knew he would.

You'll have a fab time, NVG, Norfolk is a great place to visit - you'll need a six-month break to fit it all in though!

The wind died down overnight, allowing me and my lurgy to have a reasonable night's sleep.

After 'ranting' yesterday, am pleased to announce ' DIY cupboard job ' is completed, and open to inspection!

I did suggest maybe a lick of paint in cupboard would be a good idea, but quickly withdrew that comment!

Husband was duly rewarded with excellent dinner and a few beers and wine, and good company of friends.

I love Norfolk. We went there on honeymoon and fell in love with it. Would love to move there but being in rented so it about having to save up a bond, jobs and moving costs etc. Quite a big jump financially. Really want to move over before the kids get any older because both myself and OH moved around an awful lot when we were kids and it wouldn't be fair on them.
So we are hoping to put a four year plan into action or maybe even sooner. Or we just need that unknown relative to leave us something.
Holiday place is north of Thetford and just below Kings Lynn. So will have a good look around there.
