The new brown chook laid an egg today - so small it disappeared into the eggcup.
She even found her way to a nestbox. Not bad for a chook who only arrived here yesterday.Comment

Am home alone. Tv is off and washer is on. Going to allotment in a bit to do odd job with out any assistance and help from either the kids and OH. Might just even sit there and watch the robin feed its chicks

It's taken two years but finally Thor is learning to appreciate garden extras! He's not as chatty as Arthur (the goat) who I still miss when I'm gardening but he is very handsome although not when he's eating (a true viking!).

The first swifts have arrived.
The first waterlily is flowering.
I got dive-bombed by the first broad bodied chaser dragonfly while inspecting the waterlily flower.
