Frosty you are very industrious (grows green with envy). Lincoln has a weekend every year, I think its connected to the Cathedral where you can learn basic stone masonary, stained glass, thatching etc and I really fancy having a go at something. Might have a mooch on Google today and dream the impossible dream.
Good news sciatica is back - it gets me out of digging!

Just paid a visit to the local Garden Centre where they have six types of onion sets sold loose by the Kilo. I had a good rummage and filled a huge bag of a mixture of all being careful to try and get the smaller sets as I think they perform better.
They also sell pre packed sets at £1.99 for 50.
The humungous bag of about 200 sets that I filled cost me £1.29!
Shall go back tomorrow and fill a bag with three types of shallot (same price) now I know how cheap it works out!
