Thank you Kevin and all the other Grapes kind words about this. I'm sure his teachers were amazed at this. Every day he causes trouble at school, gawd knows how you teachers cope. Thanks

                • Making paneer for the first time it's in the press now!

Update: saag paneer tonight was amazing - I made out of necessity as the shops have stopped selling it around here, but I shall definitely make it out of choice from now on!

                    • Yesterday, I attended a 'Volunteer forum' meeting at the children's hospice I volunteer at in the garden. I haven't been for couple of months (too cold for me)! But took the opportunity to meet with the gardener and have a quick nose around.

Was inspired, a lot has happened in 2 months, wonderful new huge, heated greenhouse, with 'water dipping trays', heating, compost bins on wheels, and loads of flower seeds sown, some sprouting ready for spring planting.

Another greenhouse base is ready, waiting for another greenhouse that has been donated.

Huge heated cold frames, and huge raised beds, full of wonderful compost ready for us for the spring.

So now we have 6 greenhouses, and so much more organised work space.

I'm feeling inspired and looking forward to getting back there in the Spring. It's an amazing place to work, I can't do very much but whatever you are able to do is so appreciated.

Apparently, new 'fund raising venture' 'hanging baskets', great idea.

                              • After a cold and clear night where the temperature got down to -6 celcius, going outside this morning into blue sky, bright sunshine, breath pluming in crisp air, and glittering crunchy frost over every surface. No snow so far this winter, not even a flake. A welcome change from endless, grey 'nothing' days weatherwise.
