Having abandoned Firefox after using it happily for so long, I'm finding Opera's not so bad once you get used to it. Bit more basic but it's quicker than FF and does the job.

Today would have been Mr Frosty's birthday and a couple of friends decided to drag me to a book fair to stop me being a miserable old moo. Book fair was okay but on my way up to the book fair we had to walk by Kibble Palace and there was a notice with the three most tempting words known to man - plants for sale

The cacti and succulent society were selling off plants donated to them by deceased members' families. What is a woman to do but buy some homeless plants - Senecio haworthii, Aeonium zwartkop, Portulaca oleracea, Senecio crassissimus, Aloe jucunda, Cephalocereus senilis, Kalanchoe tomentosa and a two foot+ Espostoa lanata. But I did buy one book and I spent less than £20.

My favourite uncle (Ernie) has sent me another 25 squid....................that'll pay for my fleabay carp chair thank you very much.

Finding a gem of a place to go fishing (after a 3 year break).....lovely setting....20 mins drive, £35 for the year............£15 for the year when I get to 60, I've never wished my life away before............

Spring is here! I have been out the back working with a t-shirt on and my skin is beginning to burn, time to get the sun block (like my freckles, don't like sun-burn)
