    • Finally finding out what radish seedlings look like because the ones I planted last week have all germinated, whereas the ones from 2 months ago all turned out to be weeds that I've been happily cultivating the entire time. Note to self - google images is your friend!

            • The abundance of bright, bright red geums and seeing a vulcan flying over it today.

              And my tadpoles!

Will write on this thread every time I go to the allotment, just so I don't forget to enjoy it.
No matter:the allotment is lovely, the tadpoles have legs, my sea kale has germinated and I am glad to be home.

                • Having a tidy area in the garden to sit and read, eat, cook, doze or whatever - fab!

Oh, and just in case anyone is contemplating spending £310 on one of those inflatable warm bubble things that you sit in to relax, and watch the stars (but I don't want to blatantly advertise by saying what they're called lol) Do it!

                  • Today I lifted up a tomato plant to see if roots had reached the bottom of the pot.

As I peered closely I realised that, from the other side, a hover fly was peering at the plant too....
I lowered the plant slowly and the hover fly stayed where he was, at eye level, four inches from my face and (I feel sure) staring back at me.

We stared at each other for a minute or more, this tiny hoverfly and me and though I don't know why, it left me feeling completely and blissfully happy!
