    • Dug up some valuntere salad blue, they were a heck of a lot bigger than the little things off last year, after a friend dug them out last year,i put all the long weeds on topa the ground and mypexed it,then a brainwave rolled over me,i then re planted 26 of them, covered with a good coat of comfrey, toped off with mypex,my theory is this, spudz do regrow if missed,so going to see what happen next year,i might also plant up a couple of white maincrop to see if any difference to being replanted fresh,or old ones standing in the ground,or indeed both lots a success or failure,i wondered if they keep warmer covered up until they ready to grow, hold on,may plant some first earlies as a trial,if it works, they can be planted when the ground is warmer before the frost hits home, keep covered until after the main frost's have gone,
      what do any others think,

                    • Its been a really good day - and its only half way through!

                      1. I've picked up a Freebie L@kel@nd food dehydrator - although it may not work properly because it takes so long We'll wait and see on that.

                      2. Took a wrong turning and ended up near Wilkos (any excuse). Each checkout had a tub of 10p packets of seeds on it. Guess who went from till to till, saying, "Excuse me, would you mind passing me the seeds please". That'll be another 60 packets in my seed stash

                      3. The sun was shining when I went out, and its still shining

                          • Happy Day - Part 2 http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ml#post1365418
The 63 x 10p packets of seed bought today have a retail value of £165.61. That's an average £2.62 each. They're all well in date and are mostly from the big name companies.

                            • I am happy because I have a similar but smaller problem to VC's.

She has to find spaces for 63 more packets of seeds and I have to find space for 38 pick and mix perennials I just got off T&M for the P&P price which was £4.99.

Where the piggin ell am I going to put them - at this rate I will have to ask old snotty knickers from next door if I can spread into her barren but apparently perfect garden.
