Asking for rain, and getting it!
It's been a good year so far, weather-wise, and with additional gardens to tend this year, I can only say I am sick of gardening. My knees have had enough, my fingers have had enough, and the rest of me wants to win the lottery and retire - currently, it's chucking it down, and I drove joyfully home, only to realisee I now have housework screaming at me...
Be careful what you wish for!!Last edited by Glutton4...; 13-08-2015, 06:14 PM.All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

Reading BM's post made me happy because it reminded me of when son came back from a 6 month stint in the Falklands saying he could now cook.
He went out did some shopping and then banned us from the kitchen.
Hours later tea was served - spag bol - brilliant but......
He had been cooking for 12 of them, with huge military appitites, and had not reduced the quantites for 3 of us. Two packets of pasta, 5lb of mince, several onions and who knows how many toms etc.
We could have fed a small country with the amount he had made!I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

What makes me happy
Hmmm....
The Dhammapada, Mars ice cream bars, and the track 'Sweet Charity' from Mr Bungle's California record.

Peaches.
Two trugs full!
I'm keeping the bigg'uns, and the best of the rest to ripen. The Chooks have had the small ones, and the manky ones that the Wazzups have started.
There is now NO REASON for ANY Wazzups/Jaspers/Striped-arrised stingy buggas to visit my garden. SO THERE!Last edited by Glutton4...; 14-08-2015, 06:03 PM.All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment
