Saw my new girl today (motorhome), sad i have to wait till January but the guy is giving us a free 5 day rental on one of the fleet so get used to the settings, really nice of him as we are paid up and he is not getting anything out of it. So have booked for our wedding anniversary next month.

The new 'phones I bought when my 'phone line was accidently disconnected by BT when they were messing about in the green box a few weeks ago.

Because the internet was still working at first I presumed my phone had gone kaput so went out and bought new ones. A pair of handsets with answerphone. I chose the one I got simply because it had big keys (for husband's gnarled fingers).

By accident I picked a brilliant 'phone. On the box it said "with call blocker"

Since I got it every time I have received an unwanted call I have blocked the number and I have blocked international calls and callers who withhold their number.

Oh joy!

So far this week only one PPI call. (number now also blocked) No lifestyle surveys.

An unexpected bonus...........the one acquaintance who does not display her number and who I don't really want to talk to is also blocked with the "withheld number" option.

A few weeks later I now only get

Being caught of guard, pleasantly surprised and fast, friendly resolve .

Ordered from Van Meuwen the other day, plant arrived today damaged, e-mailed with photos.

I was expecting to get an e-mail in a couple of days and a bit of hassle. No very quickly my phone rang, with a very pleasant lady apologising and has arranged for another one to be sent out before the end of the month

Maybe not the most appropriate place to post this but - despite many years together, and me being the same opionated, 'start a fight in an empty room' kind of guy, my better half still manages to have the ability to stick up for me whilst smoothing over any situation that I unintentionally cause.
