Good home needed

Morning All

Some of you will have already received your February copy of GYO and come across the free book enclosed. I already have the book ..Vegetable Growing ( Month by Month ) by John Harrison.

As I already have this book so it is surplus to my needs. VC has suggested a book swap thread....what do you think?

On this occasion I have decided to just give it to a good home if you meet the following:

A regular contributor to the vine and been on the vine for at least 3 months

Would a book swap need to be a sort of "local" event or action?

Just wondering if the idea is to meet and swap or post books around the UK (or both).

Its just an idle thought really!! I have duplicate/unwanted gardening books too and it would be nice to give them to someone who could use them.
As we're so spread out, I think the only way to do it would be by post and the postage might be more than the book is worth

I put quite a few books and some (hem hem) grow your own mags onto Freecycle. I split the books etc into 4 parcels and they were snapped up. I know this is not a tit for tat thing but the amount of people who contacted me about them saying - new allotment, containers, wanting to give growing a try was incredible.

I too already had the book, but I can give it away at work. Might have to rant now re subscribing!
