wilkinsons seeds

Evening all.

Does anybody have any idea when wilkinsons usually start selling seeds?

I went there on the weekend for a few things, but no seeds on the shelves at all yet

I was also curious in the likes of wilkinsons and b and q would sell heat treated onion sets? Or would they just be the 'normal' type????

No idea on the heat treated question, but they definitely have been putting the seeds into my local store since the 2nd, it started with a couple of racks and a few days ago they appeared to have gotten most in.

I was told the seed potatoes would be due in within the week, but I didn't ask about onions (I am growing them from previously sourced seed).

I was under the impression that all onion sets sold for growing had been heat treated - could be wrong, mind.

hmmmm maybe my local store will have them soon then!!!!

I will possibly get some seed potatoes from there as well...

Maybe all sold onion sets are heated treated? I assumed that they were not though, for some reason!!???

You pay more for heat treated ones, because it's an extra treatment which helps to stop them bolting - it's not foolproof though!

No seeds in my local Wilko. I asked one of the women today who works in Wilko when they would start stocking them. She seemed to think the end of the month begining of Feb. Not sure I can wait that long!!

Hi, I was in my local Wilko's today (Fareham in Hampshire) and they had a whole wall of seeds out. It looks like they have only just put them out either yesterday or today. They certainly didn't have any in on Monday.

Not sure if all Wilkinsons put stock out at the same time. But they should be on the shelves in your local Wilko's very soon

Wilko's in rhyl is full of seeds. I was in there today. It was very depressing seeing all those lovely seeds and other gardening things when I'm so far away for my garden.

Just been into my local wilko who have had their seeds in.
I was a little disappointed with what they had to offer.
A large stand of Johnsons flower & veg seeds. New range of Unwin children's seeds.
Their own range didn't seem a big as last year.
Didn't buying anything!!

I've been in to Wilko today and all I could see was seed potatoes and onion sets.
