  • Snow! Free to a good home

Its beyond a joke now. 8 inch of snow on my car, blowing a blizzard and looks set to last all afternoon.
Many schools shut, bus services not coming to we high points, side roads a death trap and main roads all but gridlocked.
    What fun.
So, who wants some snow sending thier way?

Thanks but no thanks. We were meant to be dumped on last night. Snowed a bit about 8ish and then I just ignored it. Well can't stop the stuff coning down.
Got up to clear roads but footpaths are deadly. Seems we had a quick flurry about 7am ish and that just froze like glass.
Had to scrap the ice off my car. Well actually just hack at it. Had a few flurries but thankfully nothing else. Its just the wind here its a sneaky cold wind that just chills you to the bone.
You have my sympathy arpoet and everyone out there who has been dumped on

I've had my share of the snow and what it brings with it thanks - including those silly people who don't clear their car windows/roof properly then speed along the roads regardless of the conditions!

P.s. - having lived in Sheffield for a few years I feel your pain!

No snow here - and I hope it stays that way ...

Hope everyone is coping up north who has got it. Take care everyone.

Whenever there is snow I always feel desperately sorry for the wild birds and animals. When the temperature gets really low it makes you wonder how any of them manage to survive.

Don't forget to put some food and water out for them ...

Was beautiful sunny day here, washing on the line blowing away. Is very cloudy now with showers on the way but whether is snow or rain we'll have to wait and see. I'd like a huge amount Monday night so school is closed as we've got yet more lesson observations.
