It all goes wrong.
Day 1. Turned up to erect a shed bought off tinternet. It was delivered without the plinth. Spent 3 hours on site waiting but it never arrived.
Day 2. Turned up with zapper to open garage door to retrieve plinth delivered late yesterday afternoon after we left. Zapper didn't work although we could hear the motor running. Turned out workmen installing tv's in house(it's a new one) had just hauled the door shut day before and disconnected drive chain. House owner eventually turned up and got access to garage through house. Wee blue button on mechanism pushed and zapper then worked.
Unfortunately, snow refused to go off so went home.
Returned after lunch, built plinth and laid floor, erected walls and fitted doors.
Day 3 . spent 6 hrs(two of us so total of 12) fitting roof. Every roof panel needed adjustment of some sort. Went home cold and miserable as rubbish roof felt had torn.
Day 4 . Went back with roll of rubbish felt from my garage. Discovered quality of my rubbish felt much better than roof felt supplied. Fitted that and went to install windows. Windows are plastic and only 3 panels supplied for 5 windows.
Have given up and told customer to make a wooden frame and install glass.
Two of us have spent 30 hours total putting bleeding shed up(including waiting about). Customer offered £100 to do job before we started. No way said we and thank goodness. Won't charge 30 hours because customer has been ripped off with crap shed.
What's worse is company who supplied shed have virtually said in their replies to FAQ's that their sheds are crap. The answer to Why does my shed leak? We don't guarantee that our sheds will be waterproof. If there are leaks, seal them with silicone.
We have local companies who make great sheds and would have supplied and erected them for less than this is costing and at the endof the day, the customer has a shed to be proud of. Shed we put up started as crap and will always be crap.
This was too much of a rant to be considered minor.
Not even going to check for typoes.
