I like the coffee and save the jars for storing stuff
I do this too and have been getting a huge jar 600g at Costco (on offer for a while) which holds loads
The Ikea copy ones leak like a sieve...Ive found Wilko the best price for Kilner/Le Parfait unless you fall lucky when B&M or Home Bargains get them and Ive also seen them in The Range
The love of gardening is a seed once sown never dies ...
Kilner do not exist as a company, Rayware bought the patent and now produce the jar under the Kilner name.
Assuming that Rayware have a Trade Mark on "Kilner" then noone else will be able to produce a look-alike marked "Kilner" ... in which case if it says Kilner that's what it will be
But seeing as everyone refers to these things as "Kilner Jars" it may well be that the Trade Mark has been lost ...
as said Kilner is a trade mark and is still in use , but the original company is gone, we still call preserving jars Kilners because thats all there was at one time
looked on dunelm seems the lookalike brands have thinner wire clips so they wont be air tight someone tried to bend the wire to make them seal but to no avail and they are discounted at the moment
1lt is £1.99 at the moment for le parfait
