GYO has found a way around Adblock- that's plain sneaky IMO

I have adblock plus. Clicking ABP icon - 2nd item down gives Open Blockable items - clicking on that gives a list of things that look quite scary - found the ones for the side ads and when I thought I had selected them for blocking I hadn't instead the bottom blue bar of death came back but in a shocking green
What can I say me and technology are not good friends
Umm side ads are niccccccccccce

EDIT: Can't see my attachment for some reason?
EDIT2: OK, sorted I think?
EDIT3: Nope. I uploaded a GIF file, the upload has changed it to a JPG which something (might only be my browser) is not impressed by ...
EDIT4: Try again with a JPG file instead
EDIT5: Nope, still not working

Found a screenshot of the drop-down window (after you click the toolbar button) on Adblock Plus's website
https://adblockplus.org/releases/adb...opera-released
Click on second menu item "Block element" and then instructions ahead. Hover over the area you want to supress and a tooltip appears with the name of the page element (which may or may not seem to make sense, if moving the mouse around there is an "outer" and "Inner" one then you might need the "outer" one). In this instance it was obvious / straightforward.
Once you click on it a confirmation to "Add" the filter appears.K's Garden blog the story of the creation of our garden

I really didn't choose to join a gardening forum to have my computer skills challenged. Ad block and Adblock plus are great but they will slow some machines down on sites where they are not needed. Don't tell me the adverts are paying for this site to run. The mods all work for nothing. If the ads are really necessary I'd like to see the books to prove it. Then I might be prepared to look at them. As it is, we could all end up on our own f@ceb00k page which has happened before I think. Just a little bit dis-chuffed.Last edited by marchogaeth; 01-04-2015, 02:41 PM."A life lived in fear is a life half lived."
PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!
