Accessing on my phone I get a whisper of the blue bars on the sides, just wide enough to see that there is something there other than constant blueness but not wide enough to see the adds. If I zoom in they are no longer visible.
I've also got a deeper blue bar at the bottom tell me about somebody's award winning butt, that has a hide button.
