Blue then Orange (now White) Side Bars

The blue bar at the bottom is new for me today. I have to hide it every time I turn the page. On an iPad mini it hides a lot of screen! Grrr!

Now I also have a darker blue bar across the bottom of the screen. Don't like that! Nice colour but too big a contrast with the delicate blue sidebars.
My vine screen is getting smaller by the day!

Same here - gets in the way of replying and is really irritating. I'm going to have a mini-vine break till it's sorted.

If that happens, my vine holiday becomes permanent! I had to install blocker purely because of this site and the silly amount of ads it has...Fortunately other (mostly ad-free) forums are available

Not been on my laptop since the changes but you barely notice on the iPad - had it for over a year an actually found one thing where it is better than other media, had to happen eventually, normally it's irritatingly limited.

Righty ho, the bottom bar is an advertisement that is there for a month, but there is a hide function that will close it for a week at a time.

Those running adblocking software cannot see the hide button, but there is a way to do it scroll the page down so that there is a blank reply box just above the bar, now slowly move the cursor to the centre of the bar & go upwards to just above it, when the pointer turns to a hand left click

I now use adblocker Plus (prompted by this website) and I watched the last two episodes of Broadchurch last night on 1TV player... was worried I might not be able to, it still force fed me adverts tho - is it no wonder folk turn to torrenting!

I have found a way to hide it for those with AdBlock Plus - you can hide elements in the settings, highlight and click the bit you want to hide = just make sure you're not accidentally hiding the forum itself!
