How do I dismantle a cement mixer

I'm having a new garden shed built and hired a cement mixer for my builders for the weekend. I am supposed to return it before 8.30 tomorrow morning and have just tried to load it into my car. This is how I got it here. They've dismantled the legs and stand but have left the drum attached to the motor. I have no idea how to separate them and I can't lift either until they are in pieces as they are too heavy.

Any grapes have any experience of cement mixers and can advise me, please.

Ring the people you hired the mixer from at 8am tomorrow, tell them to put it off hire,and take their advice
on how best you can return it.

If you got it to your house in your car, I presume it was in pieces.
I would contact your builders, who presumably put the pieces together and tell them to dismantle it properly or you will not pay them.

Thanks folks. It's partly my own fault. The builders did offer to put it in the car for me but I was busy and knew I could do it myself but I didn't check that they'd taken it apart again. I'll go for Ioan's suggestion.

Its all about big crow bars and heavy duty wrenches. When you break the 'lock' it is then just a case of rotating the drum counter clock wise and it will unscrew from the centre shaft.

I don't want to sound sexist Janie but I am 6'2" and 16 stone and can still have problems. Builders back to leave the plant how they found it or hire company to help. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself!!!
