Must make your hands udderly soft.
Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.

My mum used to breed prize winning dairy goats. Obviously, they needed milking and we used to use udder cream to soothe any bramble scratches in the obvious area. found that our hands were always lovely and soft no matter how much gardening or stable duties were being carried out.

Have you tried barrier cream before getting you hands dirty?
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

That's great OWG - it's such fun, and adding your own herbs, calendula flowers, etc etc, from the garden can create some really special effects.

My advice is, read up carefully on the safety aspects before you start (there is lots of info on the web, not all of it good, but the book by Melinda Coss seems to have it all very well and accurately covered) and then enjoy your new hobby!
