I actually like Flummery - look it up!
I toyed with another favourite - Gallimaufry - but I thought it would be too long to type in every day! I used occasionally to make a sort of thick stew with whatever was left in the fridge when the kids were little (and we were poor - violin sounds off-stage) and the first time I did it our son asked what it was. Gallimaufry, I said. It was one of his favourite dishes!
