I don't use any of these new fangled gadgets like phones and Ipads etc, so have no idea really
Someone else suggested that but I can take two photos one after the other, holding the phone in the same position and then upload both of them. One will come in on its side, the other will be correct.

I wasn't aware that there was a different way of doing it . Did try from the Ipad once but it was another thing I couldn't work out how to do on there so didn't bother and waited until I was on a proper 'puter.

I tried every whichway to find an orientation button to press but gave up in the end. Bit of a technophobe, I'm afraid, it took me a year to join this forum! Glad I did- it has given me a lot of pleasure to have someone to talk to about allotment and have people to ask when I get stuck!

Not sure whether to try and post any more phots if it means that other people have to tidy them up.
No matter:the allotment is lovely, the tadpoles have legs, my sea kale has germinated and I am glad to be home.

Don't worry about it! I love photos and would prefer to get a crick in my neck than not see it

Kris we'd sooner see a photo than trying to imagine what something looks like, so don't stop posting them

Fund the problem but not a good solution. This forum is powered by vbulletin so I google the problem and look like is a problem with phone and tablet. Now days the picture from device are way too long then a standard picture so for some reason the pics get flip. So what I did is cut a bit the picture and see if it work and it does.

I would if I had the faintest idea how to do that, I was a bit surprised I managed to get the photo up at all from the iPad and a bit confused as to why it ended up as an attached thumbnail rather than in line like they do whey I upload on a normal 'puter.

Already you've lost me, very easy on a 'puter but on an iPad nothing is easy as they always want to do things a special way that isn't obvious to anybody who has ever used a proper operating system
