    Lovely!

I brought some seed heads from my old house when I moved here.
It took a while for them to appear but I get them every year now.

They bring a smile to my face.

I've not had much luck with Welsh poppies - time to try again. Must have some seed somewhere

For some reason I don't have any in my garden either. I must nick some seed next time I see some.

I had the first seeds germinate in a tub which I left to it's own devices next to a west facing wall.

After that , nothing, and I thought I'd lost them all.

A couple years later I found about 3 plants growing from crevices in the wall facing both west and east...now I have about 8 plants- all self seeded from the original plant.

I somehow seem to do best with plants which thrive on neglect!

Yes they grow like weeds...in all sorts of places too! Once they start you have them for life!

I have sprinkled thousands of the tiny, wild Flanders poppies everywhere in the garden, field etc over the years - and nothing has come up yet!

One day maybe, when the conditions are right????

The red poppies like soil that is disturbed which is why they grow in corn fields.
