trojan virus

hi all seem to be picking up lots of Trojan virus up from this site anyone else having problems son inlaw is a computer wiz sorted it out once now there are back

Nothing here either. Are you sure it is this site? If so, I can have a word with Admin but I haven't heard of any one else having a problem.

I have McAfee on my new laptop - no virus problems here.

I run a virus software, I've never had a problem with GYO. To get those kind of virus you generally need to download something, then they sneak in the back door. Have you downloaded anything recently?

no don't download anything everytime I come on this site I get pop up ads none gardening stuff blingy flashy stuff

Norton usually warns me of an attempted virus attack. I haven't ever had any warnings when visiting this site.

Not recently, but there's been a number of occasions where my anti virus software has warned me that it's blocked various nasties when I've been in GYO forum with nothing else running.

I think it's the flashing ads that is causing the problem.
