    I never imagined:

    - actually digging is quite therapeutic
    - I'd spend hours on the Internet looking for cheap stuff to build my plot
    - get frustrated when family dump or don't consider things that could be used on the plot
    - keep dropping subtle hints about always consider would I want it for the allotment to family. Almost as though this must now be their mission in life also
    - spare time on my own being an enjoying walk around garden centre

    Oh it's awesome...

Never thought I'd be so pleased that the worms look pink fat and happy
(they started out greenish yellow, skinny and miserable looking....honest)

Checking the colour of my aphids
      (roitelet's fault)

Or studying closely picture after picture of sieved dirt on an internet forum
(I blame you, Bigmally, for that one

            The weather.

Before I was a gardener I never bothered to look up what the weather would be like, it was what it was, it didnt matter.

Now Im looking for dry spells, wet spells, whether to fill up the water butts from the hose or wait for an oncoming wet spell, repairing or rushing to get slug defences in before wet spells come.

Wonder if it was bad form to go strawberry picking in B&Q, whilst looking at all of the cheap strawberry plants they were selling off.

I did sneak a couple of very tasty strawberries from a couple of plants, couldn't resist....
