Hope you had a good holiday. What has the weather been like in your area? The obvious question is did they have water but since you only say tomatoes I guess that was covered. If they were outdoors, did they succumb to blight perhaps? Mine were caught by that and so far I have lost one tomato plant - think the rest are hanging on by a thread. Lost all my spuds though

Have you still got the plants? If so, post a pic on here and the experts will be able to help

Sorry to hear about that, Trilby - what a disappointment. I can't help - only my first year and my tomatoes have their own troubles (unless growing tomatoes 'bonsai style' is a recongnised form??) but can you let us have some more detail - where were they - outside or greehouse, and did you have them watered while you were away? Where they kept any differently to the tomatillos (whatever they are!)

I'm sure there'll be someone who can help you here........

I did a 'bonsai' style tomato last year - Robin F1 - it is apparently a mini tomato. Madmax said it was lovely but the fruit wasn't as big as a raspberry!

            Well Thanks Shirl and Hazel

Yes I forgot to say Outdoors, I think you could be right Shirl about the Blight
I only hope the Allotment Pots are okay, havenot got down there as yet, as it is pouring at the moment., when is this rain going to stop.

Hazel. Tomatillos are a Salsa tomato, that I tried this year, and they are going mad. Shall let you know what they taste like when they are ready.

Well speak to you later, shall have to go now to get some plants.

            Thanks
            Trilby

Before you get more plants, check if it is blight that killed the ones you had - best to clear and burn them before bringing any new ones in. Get some bordeaux mixture to spray the new ones to keep the blight at bay.

Hope you have better news at the lottie.
