  • Morning all...

    Grey morning here....
Quiet weekend was had and watched some sport...Headed out for a few creamy pints of Guinness last night with a friend and the @*@*@* pub ran out of Guinness
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

    • Good afternoon Folks, cold and wet here, got the central heating on and sitting with my leg elevated, as my leg is still bruised, swollen and sore, so quite happy its raining, but have to watch peppa pig with youngest grandson. I hope the leg clears up quick, or I will have to look out my old crutch, (yes VC the one I had when I did some sailing) I am now going for a cup of coffee, do you want to join me.

        • Well it's blowing a gale and chucking it down with rain. My neighbour went to Australia for a month and took the bad weather with them, they arrived home yesterday and look...brought it back!! I think they should take another trip ASAP.

              • Afternoon everyone. Wet, windy and very cold. Forced myself to go out in PT and repot otherwise going to have too many seedling casualties. Wasn't too bad in there and quite fun listening to rain thumping on the roof but was still glad to get back inside. Enjoying a hot cuppa while I vote Keep warm everyone!

I've been to the supermarket and you know what happens to me there! There was an aisle full of clearance stuff marked down to 10p/25p or 50p. Dog food, toiletries, cleaning stuff, biscuits - all bargains so I started filling my trolley.
On a top shelf, I spotted Tea tree oil @25p - but the box was empty. Behind was another box but, as you know, I'm not very tall, so couldn't reach it. The aisle was packed with bargain hunters so I asked a tall man, nearby if he could pass the box on the top shelf to me. No problem, he said, reached up and passed me a box of Pl@yb0y things for the weekend
No, no, I squeaked, I meant the Tea tree oil. Go on, he said, they're only 25p, you never know when you'll need them. Two ladies at my elbow, said Blow them up for balloons. Within minutes, we were all giggling and snorting, tears ran down my cheeks and I've been sniggering ever since. We were like a bunch of schoolkids!
Have you had a silly day too?
