  • Mornin all!
    I've only just woken up!!!
Think my cold was at it's worst yesterday as I actually managed to sleep most of the night without paper stuffed up me nozzle

Back in the kitchen for me today...what's everyone else's plans?

    Oh...and Hibou update.....

Still on all her meds and she's certainly more lively but her eye is slow to respond to the antibiotics and steroids. I'm almost beginning to wonder if she's got one of those superbugs eye infection....

    • Morning all. Hope Hibou's eye starts to improve more, maybe it is just something that takes a lot of time. Good news she is more lively though. Thinking of Amy the dog too.

Sadly my sister in laws youngest cat was run over and died. It is always heartbreaking to lose a cherished pet and she was really attached to little Millie who was a gorgeous black and white furball. So that was sad news last night.

This morning looks grey but dry at least so will see what I can plod on with Hope everyone has a good weekend.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

      • Morning all and we still have the sun. A lovely bright morning here.
Lots of bits and bobs to do this morning and off to play pitch and putt.

Glad to hear all the pets are on the mend
Sorry to hear about your sister-in-laws kitten Marie.

Have a good all whether youre building a kitchen or digging your plot.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • Morning all,
Lovely morning here, i really love this time of year especially the sunny ones. Going to sit on the terrace bring out a large cell tray and get more things going for my polytunnel. I am determined to make full use of my polly this year.
So many butterflies around and i always used to love watching a butterfly go by, now i snigger and stare muttering go away. I am a grump!

          Have a lovely day everyone

          • Morning all - rather grey here but the sun might break through. I did nothing garden related yesterday, it was all dentists, hairdressers, grocery shopping and housework! Today I plan to pickle onions, clear out the greenhouse in the garden and label chutney - all the labels are made, they just need cutting out and sticking on - a job that I don't enjoy. Not as much as I dislike making the "hats" for the jars though! Better get myself together and make a start. Out tonight with friends - they are back from 3 weeks in Oregon so lots of catching up to do Feeling more positive today - yesterday was a sad anniversary but I got past it. Have a good day everyone.

            • Morning all! I hope today is brighter for you Susie get on those labels.....I can't understand, washing jars is the bit I hate, love doing the labels and "hats"
I have a slight hangover this morning, I think life without fizz is probably the way to go. I was so looking forward to enjoying a glass or two last night, it's not so good this morning
Practising a little cake painting today.

Best way is to build up a tolerance then headaches will either go or you get used to them

Do make sure the door is a close fit when shut- any wobbling about in high winds will set off the alarm
