Right - is that me vaguely caught up?
I'm attaching the string firmly to the laptop tonight with a strict 15min range - I have to stretch the legs in the morning, you know.
So, as the next up from Clout (and ignoring all those silly boy innuendos), is Tight Fit....

Nothing broken but she had badly bruised ribs, shoulder, neck and head on her left side, and twitched and staggered due to swelling of her brain.
Unfortunately she has a haematoma behind her eye within the socket , pushing her eye forwards and somehow or other the outside of the eye has become infected.
The swelling is going down, and she can still see through that eye, but the infection seems to be resistant to antibiotics.
Her behaviour and balance seem to have 90% recovered...but the eye is the main problem...and we still need to keep an eye on her incase she starts to have fits.
She's having a review on Monday.
Fingers crossed still please...she needs all the luck she can get"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Thanks AP.
I'm also fighting with getting the vets to take a more sympathetic approach.
She's just a cat...you can always get another one there are loads about../why would you want to spend lots of money on investigations and treatment when we can just remove the eye?/she'll probably get run over next time...or shot by one of the hunters sort of attitude.
Kittens are drowned ten a penny as no one is prepared to pay for their cats to be neutered....nor pay vet's bills( 1/2 hr assessment and 10 day antibiotic jab cost about £12... It'd be at least 3x that in the UK.)
The vets know their stuff but just don't seem to have the same experience as UK vets cos some peeps just shoot their dogs or drown their pets when they get old or sick.
It's a totally different attitude in this part of rural France.
They already think I'm a nutter for spending money on antibiotics for one hen when it would have been waay cheaper to have dosed the whole flock even though they didn't need it.
Very, very frustrating to say the least.
The practice we're with is apparently the best in the area"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Darn!
It's not the smoke alarm but the carbon monoxide warning to say it's past it needs replacing.
Just read the back and it's end date was Feb 15.., so we need a new one ASAP.
Thing is...it's still beeping and it's tamper proof...so...how on earth do you stop it?
Any better ideas than.....I had a gooooogle and came up with this...
