    • Morning, altering the clocks always upsets my routine so I was awake far to early this morning never mind its not raining out so i've had a wonder around the garden.

      • Morning all! I hope your dog is feeling better today Jay. I missed all that yesterday as I was a busy bee! Put four small christmas cakes in the oven yesterday and left the cakes cooking slow had a lovely walk along the canal with a friend and her kids and were some of the first in the queue ready for lunch. Bit disappointed as we were told " dogs only allowed outside" my Stan is extremely well behaved, curls up and goes to sleep after a walk. So we packed up and went to the next nearest welcoming one! then dashed back home and collected OH, popped to a little town near me for a quick coffee and then onto the Town Hall to see one of my boys in a mini concert. He had been at a baroque workshop. He played a Bach solo on the harpsicord. Really impressed! Then home for tea and a quiet glass of wine! Phew! Start of half term, quiet coffee this morning before I take them to the docs for some 14+ booster jabs that they should have had in school but somehow missed!

Having the grass cut today and have to pay - my son's shoulder is still not mended. • Good morning all,
I heard the lovely sound of rain this morning, not that it lasted long. It is really chilly. Might light the first fire of the year later but have to clean it all out first so might be lazy and just put a jumper on It is back to clear and sunny tomorrow in the mid 20´s. I do like to hold out till november, but do love the first one.
Have to make the brine for the olives today and get that all sorted. It is going to be a long day of little bits to do, a pottering day.

                  • Good morning,

The sun is out here. Just finished my morning round and now I am at my mums. Got to clean the rabbits cage before I head out to do my dinner round. But first I need a brew before I do anything

                    • Good morning all. A dull, wet and windy day here. Not a good day for The Dublin City Marathon.
                      Last bank holiday before Christmas.

Morning everyone. Weather is great for October. Been really nice not having to rush up for school and am enjoying really lazy mornings. Mind you also been conned into sitting down for some very long Monopoly sessions as well ...

Been busy clearing out the play room which was stuffed to the brim with toys - couldn't even see the fireplace which now looks a nice feature. Put lots of bunting up and it's starting to look really cheerful and lovely. Gets all the sun in the winter through bay window so looking forward to using it as a little cosy snug.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                          • Evening all. Don't read if you are eating dinner!!

Well we have had quite an eventful day at the vets. Turns out small boy had a huge abscess behind the tumour on his bahookie. Without going into detail (yuk!!) we left the vet after 40 minutes leaving her to clean the bench, the walls and the floor (and herself too)!! We did offer to do it for her but she refused. He is feeling sorry for himself, and who could blame him? Hopefully he will be feeling better tomorrow.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

                            • Oh dear - hope he'll be feeling a lot better soon Jay. That sounds like it must have been quite painful. I'm sure vets are used to seeing and dealing with all manner of gross things.
