I have a couple- they work really well for me in the wood stove which only offers me low/med/high as an indicator!!!
Worth looking at the dial to see if it's easy to read cos if there isn't a light in the oven, it can be hard to see/read
Mines a bit like that Nico so I've resorted to shinning at torch on it to see the readings, another tip is to remember that they get hot I forgot and picked the thing up.
Off to the nearest city to the veterinary eye clinic this afternoon-
She is however much brighter in herself- even trying to help herself during the night to the treats we give her after her eye treatment!
Brings a smile to your face hearing her knocking and flicking the packets around the room in an attempt to help herself!!!

Thats why they get planted winter time. I put my first lot in in August and the calabrese are just starting to form heads and i have one cabbage that is wanting me to pull it. Just August and September you have to water like a mad person and add a little shade. But i cannot grow in the summer time they bolt straight away. I think my last lot will go in at March, but they were small heads and you had to pick quick.
Ah, I was wondering if you would benefit by planting ice cubes near the pants as they would be more slow release.

I don´t grow any pants but might try in the future
I have thought about trying that but i have about 50-100 plants by December so i would need a massive freezer just to make them and would spend hours day making them. My main problem this year is the critters lots of snails and butterflies, so my plants are very patchy.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

I'm still following. We don't have a pusscat anymore but we do know how worrying it can be when something like this happens. Hope she continues to make progress.
Bit cloudy in Aberdeen today but I'm still on a do nothing itinerary which is frustrating. Getting bodily functions underway again yesterday was big relief but think I undid a bit of the healing as been very sore internally since. Back on full dose of painkillers but at least I slept through to 6.00am this morning which must help. Was told first 4-5 days would be worst so it should be all upwards from here.
I'm even finding turning my broad beans I'm saving for seed interesting. How sad is that?
I am still interested. Glad Hibou is getting better day by day
Well this morning I have taken the kids down to the allotment to plant the onion sets. Took a while and they aren't even in straight line. So will have to see how they get on.

Artnoon all. I've been raking leaves in the sunshine. Pop inside for a cuppa and its chucking it down! My leaf mounds will be all soggy
Have fun shopping. I may do a bit of that myself now its raining
Beautiful sunny day here. Been cleaning the greenhouse and putting up insulation. Trouble is it is 25 degrees in there so rather warm to be up in the roof space. Now I can get all the tender plants in and hope they survive the winter.
Back from town, that was hard work. Far too many people in Lidl, but they managed to have 2 checkouts open
Bought 90 red onion, 90 sweet white onion, 10 small cabbage, 10 cauliflower, 20 romaine lettuce, 20 weird curly leaf type lettuce, and 40 yes 40 broccoli seedlings now i have to find space for them all. All of that for 14 euros. sometimes it really isn't worth sowing the seeds.
Time for a cuppa me thinks
