Afternoon all we had a great halloween party last night organised by my brother In law for his scout group. Daughter enjoyed toasting marshmallows in the fire and doing Apple bobbing and singing silly songs round the fire. Then we ate hot dogs and chilli and watched fireworks. Had a fun time. Am resting today as all tired.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
Afternoon all. Been to allotment this morning and raked some of the lumpy areas down. Picked the kids up and am finally home sat watching telly for a bit.
Going down to the allotment to get the daffodil bulbs planted tomorrow. I will have my little helpers helping me so I am going to take the bulb planter tool down with me. So one can make the hole, the other can put a bulb in then the other can fill the hole in. Bet they still end up fighting.
Have a good afternoon everyone.
Done cleaning the flat just one more wash load to do. OH has just gone to work, so i am trying to decided what i want for tea. Now i am going to chill out and wait for most haunted live to come on at 9pm.
Useful afternoon at the plot. Planted my new gooseberry which arrived in the week. Weeded the onions-again and lifted the wallflowers. Tomorrow's job will be to get them planted here. Best of all was when I got home I had a phone call from my mum, first time she's been well enough to ring me since July.
Evening All and Nicos - kcab daer tsuj - what's a lie in Nicos, cheeky girl. I was up at the crack and gardening all day, it was sheer bliss.
Welcome back G4, how very dare you go AWOL?
Had a visit from eldest Golden Girl and my daughter this afternoon, which was also very wonderful
Glad your mum is feeling better Wendy.
Congratulations to New Zealand for winning the rugby. Normally I would have been rooting for the team that put us out but as they didn't deserve to be there this time around they didn't have my support
