Hubby went back to the dentist and was told he will probably have to have the tooth extracted on Monday.
Heading off to the library to pick up some weekend reading and get a walk done.

          • I was brought up with a Cumbrian mother and Bristolian father so have some strange words in my vocabulary. "Ginnel" for passage, "sneck" for a gate/door catch. And that was difficult as they don't seem to be in the computers dictionary!

            • I had a place at London University when I was 18 but couldn't take it up due to personal circumstances. I took my degree in my 40's and one of my son's is taking his now in his 30's. It's never too late in fact I'm considering taking another one to keep my brain alive.

My OH's brother didn't take his place at Uni as a teen and got a job in the City. Got married, had 3kids and then thought he should go do the whole degree thing packed in his job, the degree cost close to 40K ontop of no income from him. His wife worked long hours to support it and the kids suffered as a result. He hasn't had a job since - 6years now. It's ok to go back to education if you haven't got a job or do it part time /long distance but for him that choice cost him plenty.
