I have heard 'sneck' used although not recently

      • I quite like the word 'pizzle'

Who is going to be the first to goggle it then?

          • Nice chat this afternoon folks - given me a good laugh!

So - it's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY!!!! and I've thrashed that terrifyingly large In Tray until .... it is a moderately less terrifyingly large in tray.

Off to pick mum up to do the Friday night shop (why am I thinking about something somethinng 'Friday fish fry' ....tum ti tum ...theme tune to a Steven Fry prog, perhaps? BB?), then back for a nice glass of red berries wine, and evening out at Local Pub.

The only thing that might spoil that, is that Local Pub is so popular, it's several deep at the bar for a good portion of the weekend evenings, and the alternative is a pub with a TV. This would be a bad move as Man U are at the Villa tonight and the pubs with TV's are likely to be full of p1ssed up Villians.

            • Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps! How y'all doin?

Rain stopped play again today, so I came home, and the sun came out. Started outdoor jobs and it rained again. Someone is winding me up. Lol

Hubby has just very kindly got up the ladder, and removed all the peaches from the tree. It had leaf-curl earlier in the year, and I lobbed two big branches off. The remainder fruited their socks off, and despite a heavy June drop, and regular thinning from me, there are still enough decent sized peaches for half ghe village. however, as no-one thanked me for them last year (put out the front, with bags, and a 'free, help yourself' sign) I'm giving them to friends and family this year. Whether they like it or not!

Sorry for that young girl Scarlet, what a shame. Here's hoping she finds an alternative path to the one she had chosen. I have a sixteen year old granddaughter (my son's daughter) who also gets her results next Thursday, so fingers crossed for her and those lads of yours
