    Really?
Do you have a recipe you know works well?
    What does it taste of?
Never heard of it, but worth giving it a try! :P

      • Evening all..

Well, what a cracker of a day we had.....Absolutely brilliant to be in work looking out at it

Hopefully it is as good tomorrow; I think I will cycle to work for some midweek exercise (85k round trip).
Hopefully that heat will have ripened a few more tomatoes today...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

        • Evening all. So glad today is nearly over, I am shattered. Slept really badly last night (no, don't know why) and had a hideous morning when I had some kind of allergic reaction to goodness knows what! My palms and the backs of my hands were swollen and itching like crazy. I was at work in a seminar in the Hall, so ice-packs and anti histamine. Took an hour and a half for them to subside, my right hand is still a little bit tender. Have racked my brains and can think of nothing I touched, applied or did that might have caused it. Anyway, early night tonight I hope, always assuming I can sleep. Really grey and chilly. Might even put the heating on for an hour !!

          • Evening all, decided to spend the day over the plot and tidy up after my three week holiday, never noticed Sunday but today I have discovered some rather angry wasps have built a ground nest smack bang in the middle of my sweetcorn.

The closest they will let me is about 5' away, but seem to be enjoying the corn....anyone got a plan B?

                  • Morning everybody
Playing with fire this morning. As I failed miserably at getting the bonfire going yesterday. Hope the rain stays off long enough.

I LOVE the smell of woodsmoke and bonfires!...brings back lots of happy childhood memories of garden bonfires with my father , and bonfire night!

...remember to have a quick check for hedgehogs tucked underneath though!

                          • Morning all. Grey and overcast here - again! Will it brighten up, who can say. So strange not to be in work when school starts 'properly' for all the students. But busy day for me. I go to Florence tomorrow for a short break (on my own, not in an organised party thing ). Sister could not get time off work so I thought, "To hell with it, I'll go anyway". So I am. Have to admit I am a little agitata but I keep telling myself that I am an intelligent adult and I'll be fine.

Just getting myself and stuff ready today and making arrangements with neighbours to water greenhouse whilst I am away. Enjoy your day everyone.

Enjoyable cycle into work this morning, but will soon be too dark to leave early enough in the morning, so have to think about that...

                              • Morning everyone. Bit bleary eyed this morning as I had trouble sleeping and then made the fatal mistake of reading which kept me awake longer. Dog gone tired and I'm no morning person normally

Congrats on the amphibian in your woodpile Nicos. I love frogs - and toads. We've got a few residents in the garden. Don't have a pond (yet! - project for next year maybe) but I leave shallow water bowls out for them with big stones in topped up with rain water and have several upturned ceramic pots on bricks that they can hide / rest under. They seem to like it and they're supposed to help with the slug population too!
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
