GL you should let OH pay for lunches, it keeps them happy. when they get to spend money.

Good evening folks it has been a lovely day here and warm, unable to get any work done in the garden today, as when finished doing as Im told, like pressure wash driveway, clean steps, clean windows which were cleaned yesterday by window cleaner,( who would expect the dirt to blow back when pressure washing) then five Grandchildren to look after I feel a wee bit tired, so now away to read a book
Wishing everyone a pleasant night. Good night

I have a question for the cyclists amongst you! Would a cyclist wear a skin tight, flesh coloured outfit? If not, I've just seen a naked man in the woods wearing only a cycle helmet.............and no bike
I needed it - there were some sharp encounters mainly from people making unfounded statement which were rebutted however we had rock solid support from the 60%+ needed to amend the Constitution

        Did you catch him??

        • Glad the pointy stick came in useful. Wish I'd had it with me in the woods One quick jab would have deflated his ego
I've been walking alone in those woods for 40 years (not nonstop!) and I've never seen anything quite so ridiculous as that chap. Takes all sorts!

                  • Congrats on finishing your scarf, Carrie. It's very satisfying to get to the end of a project like that.

I would say it's a lovely morning as the weather looks great but I had a nasty surprise. A lot of seedlings I potted on just yesterday I found ravaged - some with half chewed leaves and 3, which is totally gutting, that have been chewed right back to the base of the stem These were in my polytunnel sat on a chair next to the opening and covered with a cloche. Clearly the cloche wasn't foolproof.

I saw a very big, bloated slug at the base of one chair leg. Bet he/she feels pretty happy this morning! I should have thought to put them up as high as possible. Noted that the slug seemed to particularly like my swiss chard as those got chomped the most.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                    • Morning all... It's FRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

VC, I hope you didn't frighten that poor cyclist....I thought it was another type of bear you were supposed to see in the woods

Jay, that hoolie must be heading for me as after our beautiful week, we are forecast to get heavy rain and high winds tonight and tomorrow
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                      ...utterly nutterly

                      • Tad chilly out there this morning but at least it's dry. First job this morning is to try to rescue my show peas. Found mildew had struck yesterday so that needs addressing. NVS Branch Championships at Carwell Bay, Gourock in two weeks so I need to keep them going until then. Fingers crossed. Not going to plot till rush hour traffic passes so I have a few minutes to pass on here.

A point to ponder. Why does french onion soup make a body so windy?

Absolutely shocking wearing a cycling helmet in the woods - no wonder you're upset and bewildered
