Evening All.
I'm just back from West Wales where I've handed over the garden to the tender mercies of a local gardener. We hacked our way through the undergrowth while I showed him the plants I wanted to keep and those that could be massacred.
He said " I'll get rid of those sycamores too"
Me "What sycamores?"
He points................
Me: - They're not sycamores - they're blackcurrant bushes
Should I be worried?
Hope you've all had a great day and a relaxing evening.

Another beauty from my six year old tonight... I was slightly telling her off for some harmless messing she had got up to in school..
After hearing that " it was the other girls idea" I was telling her she should heed her own mind.. "If I jumped off a cliff, would you?" I asked her..
"No" she replied sincerely, but then in a flash, she said "I would jump in to rescue you though, because I love you"
What can you sayI dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
...utterly nutterly

Answer to VC YES!!!,
Good evening folks we had another nice day here, and busy, I did some washing, put the clothes in the machine added soap powder and switched it on, did some cleaning, took the vacuum cleaner out the cupboard plugged it in switched on and rolled it over the carpets, lifted some potatoes gave them a wash into the pot with some water turned on the gas to boil them steamed some runner beans, and poached some fish. After tea went out to the garden and started work on one of my raised beds 8ft X 4ft.X 18ins.moved half the soil, fitted in a new liner and back filled some of the remaining soil fitting the liner as I progressed down the bed empted and spread two compost bins into the bed covering it with more of the soil, still about a fith if the old bed to move as had to stop due to poor light.
feeling quite tired now, must be all that housework switching on all these devices is hard work
Thats the wind up finished
I wish a very good night and a pleasant weekend to you all

Morning everyone. Very wet start to the day. Hope it cheers up later. I'm cooking for 8 so will be a slave to the kitchen for most of the day. I suppose it's just as well it's wet and I'm not pining to be outside. Hope everyone has a great weekend.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
