Been wondering how your daughter was coming along, Flo. Good to hear that she's improving but shame its so slow, Still, any progress is good.
Thinking of you all
Evening all. Glad to see you are visiting us Flo Glad to hear your daughter is getting better but sorry it is taking so long for her.
Been to allotment today and started digging. Managed to fill two wheel barrows full of nettles and roots, bind weed roots and couch grass roots. It is everywhere still. So hope to get down tomorrow and get some more done, weather permitting.
Have a good evening everyone
Winging well wishes to your daughter and big hugs to you Flo, good to see you back.
I'm trying to find a book to read ...fed up with looking on Amaon, they keep directing me to those books that are rubbish and costs 50p. What are you lot reading at the moment?
Mornings all! Another rainy day here, it's chucking it down again. I have been racing around like a mad woman this morning, nowt to do later do I'm getting all the house jobs done and then I've a free day for CAKES...well decorations, I'm going to try a few modelling figures or maybe even start a shoe
Morning all. Very cold and murky here. Hoping to beat my record of two wheel barrows of weed roots today.
Scarlet why don't you try looking round your local charity shops for books. Can find some right bargains and some really unusual books. You can either then keep them or re donate them back.
Have a good day everyone
I do but I don't like the way they try to push those cheap, rubbish, straight to kindle books my way on Amaon. The spelling is always atrocious (sp ) and the typos and repeat sentences are a pain. I usually look on book reviews and best seller lists for a good read. I can't surf The shop looking for a book cos it really drives me nuts!
NVG, I think I'm the only one that donates books to our local charity shop - books are really dying out. son had a clear out before he started 6th form in the Summer and he got rid of all his encyclopaedia and "places of the world" books saying that he can get what he wants off the internet.
Morning, another lovely morning but very autumnal...sunny and chilly!
Scarlet I have just finished 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' by Stieg Larsson. Started reading it ages ago but just couldn't get into it then my son said skip the first chapter and start from there and it worked. Really good book, worth a shot if you haven't read it but do skip that first chapter it's really not relevant to the story.
