I've downloaded Win10 too - and it took forever. In fact I thought my laptop had died - just a black screen and nothing happening.
Apart from the Start menu and moving those stoopid "Charms", I haven't noticed much difference.
Maybe I'm just not observant.Comment

Top tip for downloading to your laptop - plug it in to your (wireless) router using an ethernet cable and it will be much quicker.
I was told that when I had my new laptop preloaded with win 8, and first job was to upgrade to win8.1. Dave-next-door went through the same process at about the same time and just used his wireless connection and it took FOREVER.
I had told him my top tip, btw, but he just ploughed on regardless, so it served him right!Comment

had a look at info about windows 10 but dont use apps so havent a clue how to down load. Tried to log on to microsoft but need a password, which I cant remember and help from microsoft is aimed at people who understand computers, (which I dont) so will wait to see reaction from fellow Grapes about it.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

My laptop has been acting up recently but I haven't backed anything up in the 3/4 years since I've had it. As I have Norton decided to do the backup...it finished today-5 days after I started!!sigpicComment
