  • Morning all. Glad to hear your daughter is getting better and should be discharged pretty soon.
Cold here this morning but looks as if it could be a nice day.
Washing already in the washer and the kids have already made a mega mess in the front room.
    Have a good day everyone

      • Morning all - good news about your daughter Flo . Getting grey here, I have been slicing beans for another batch of runner bean chutney, but may not have enough onions at home. That'll teach me. I had no 2 son here last night and he asked if he should box up the onions drying in the glass shed at the allotment and I rashly said "No, they'll be alright for a day or two yet." Arrrrghhhh.

So today, yet another lunch out with a friend (this is the thing with women - we don't go for a pint in the evening, we go out for coffee and cake or lunch) at this rate I will have put back on all the weight that I lost. So, going to be good. Pub quiz this evening so that will stop me snacking too. Have a good day everyone.

        • Good morning everyone
Hellooooo Auntie Florrie!! **I'vemissedyousomuch** Sorry to hear your daughter is so unwell, but glad it's not as serious as it could have been xxx
I spent yesterday afternoon in the chicken run throwing pellets to the ladies, watching them scratch and preen. Then I had a cuddle with Felicity Lemon, because although she's the biggest of the three, she's the bottom of the pecking order and she kept getting chased off by Hetty Wainthrop. Miss Lemon even fed out of my hand!

              • I 'wasted' so much time when we first got ours- just lovely to sit and watch them interact and go about their daily lives.
I still stop and watch them when I can grab a minute.

Watching them run through snow is sooooo funny!

                • Afternoon all - been to the allotment and collected a couple more courgettes; also to Azda for another 8 bags of compost - I have been roped into helping with the school garden and the soil is in a sorry state so will donate a few bags to help out. I have also been asked to give a talk on composting to a primary 1 class on Thursday so will need to prepare as I've never done this before

                    Please Sir:-
Why does my daddy wee on the compost?
Does all compost come in bags from Azda?
Who puts the compost in the bags?

                      • Afternoon all. A miserable day here today. Has been lashing rain all day. I decided to tackle the bedroom presses and sort out my clothes. I had no idea i was such a "pack rat" i found things that i had " put away safely" and forgot i even bought them.
Two big bags filled so far for the charity shop, much more room in the presses, and who knows, i might take a trip into town to fill up all that empty space.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                            1. Your daddy wees on the compost because he has been drinking beer on the allotment with the site floosie and wants to get rid of the evidence before he gets home
                            2. No just the cheapest ones.

Well we used it last year and intend to again this year. One of the favourite gardening jobs was having a wheelbarrow and fork and emptying the compost bins! One of my least favourite jobs.
