      • Morning all, lovely mild morning here with not a breeze. No sign of the sun just yet but i think its on its way.
Off shortly to play pitch and putt with my sister and friends in thr club.
Won't get a chance to do any gardening until this evening.
Hope everybody has a good day.

They should have been ready by now!
Depends on how you stored them
I find the best way is wet , in black plastic bin bags tied at the top, couple of holes near the bottom and stored in a 'warmish' part of the garden. ( where it doesn't get the worst of the frosts , and where it can warm up a bit if it's sunny.)
I find that 'wet/ well dampened' is the important bit

Same as me! I was still fast asleep at 10.30 so I missed the morning. there's rugby at 2 for the kids and then we are going to a concert this evening with no2 son, so I'm a busy girl today Son2 plays clarinet, is studying for a diploma next year and needs to see how the professionals do it! City of London Sinfonia, has a clarinet soloist, not sure what to expect - I have a feeling I may be looking forward to half time and my glass of wine.
Thought I'd share these, Thursday morning with Stan. Mornings have been really misty this week, was beautiful here, iPhone photos don't really do it justice.

              • Also depends on the type of leaf too Jay- some break down faster than others

Hello Jay as Nicos says in the quote the type makes a difference, but you should try and have a mix of leaf type also, as this can accelerate the decomposition

and Scarlet, great photos, and how about a competition of what Stan is thinking...this is my best side
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                    • Rary, he looks good from all angles ! Have you ever watched the film shrek? Well, Stan reminds me of Donkey, he has very expressive ears, they both stick up proud when he walks by my side, other times it's one ear up, one ear down. When I get the camera out they both go flat!
