I made great use of the day resting too Cariann. It's defo not wasted when it's needed. Your body is using energy to heal you and get you back up again
Good evening folks, have now completed my raised bed, I have cut some tree branches down to allow the rain to reach the bed, shredded said branches and after covering the bed with cardboard put all the shredded material over that. There was some heavy rain just a short time ago hope it clears up or i will be orderd back to getting the room finished, I think, like Nicos with her job, my wife would like it finished for Christmas (wives are so impatient)
Well whatever the weather I wish you all a good night and to all who are working I hope your week seems short, mine certainly does (I cant understand that for years time seemed to drag now it`s hitched to an express train) ah well goodnight to you all.
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
Evening all we're back, long delays cos of the rugby traffic . He didn't make the time, it was a windy afternoon and much slower than a few weeks ago. 20 odd seconds short ah well, we are going to celebrate regardless with a lovely bottle of wine and a bag of crisps!
Morning all! It was very difficult to get out of bed this morning. Especially when I got up to the chorus of "you didn't dry my rugby kit!" They are old enough to do it themselves oh, how do you get teenagers to realise it's time to do it yourself?
Wet and grey here but I'm off to do some cakes later that'll cheer me up.
Have a good day all,
Good morning Flo and Mods Anyone else up and about ready for Monday?
Its that fine misty rain that doesn't look like much when you step outside but coats everything with mist and within minutes, you're soaked! Have just dried 4 dogs!
EDIT
Just made a typo and wrote "Have just fried 4 dogs!". Lucky I spotted it or you'd have reported me for cruelty and having a large appetite.

My family call it dreich, even though we aren't Scots. Grey and damp here too. So, there is no excuse. I am going to have to tackle the bloomin' garage! It's either that or the office with all that lovely shredding and filing and tidying. Neither of these jobs fill me with that buzz of anticipation that you get when you are looking forward to something
Groans quietly and drags herself off garagewards, sighing.
Morning all. Very wet and cold here at the moment. Just managed to get on line as the internet was down.
Have sorted kids bedroom out yet again, been to post office and posted ebay parcels, done the ironing and am now finally sat here on line.
So allotment is now totally out for the day and I have done my jobbies so I do believe its time to surf the internet and channel flick. Need to come up with some healthy meal plans as I'm trying to eat healthy again.
Have a good day everyone
